It’s YOUR health no one elses…

I am a big believer in believing in oneself. No matter what mistakes you have made, who raised you, who your friends are, what age you are you can be the person you dream to be. Put yourself in the environment that you want to become.   Your environment will represent you! You want to be an engineer, farmer, actor, mother, father, house wife, accountant, teacher, own your own business, architect …what ever it may be…find out how to make that happen. Write down what it takes. It may take you a year or even 5 years from now, but in 5 years when you do accomplish your goal, you will be so happy you decided to believe in yourself.  There will be hills, mountains and rivers to go over and through, but it will be worth it. YOU ARE WORTH IT! If people laugh in your face, and think you are ridiculous ignore them. Unfortunately, they are too scared to do what you are doing. When you accomplish your goal send them an invite to your new business or whatever it may be:)

But…I am poor, I don’t have time, I don’t have a car, I don’t have an education, I don’t have a support system…the list can go on and on. EVERY person can have an excuse and every person can also be thankful for what they have small or big. Halle Berry, for example, once stayed in a homeless shelter in her twenties, Jim Carrey once lived in a tent on his sister’s front lawn, Abraham Lincoln finished only one year of formal school and taught himself trigonometry, and Thomas Edison education was at home. These are just some examples of who chose to be successful and you can do the same. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, it is up to you to spend it how you want. You have to figure out what is most important to you and strive for that.

This concept of believing in yourself goes with anything in your life. Job, friends, family and of course health. I am a firm believer that health should always be the top priority! ALWAYS! A person can not be truly happy with out his/her health. I am not saying that every person in this world should be obsessed with exercise and eating only healthy foods every second of every day. That is not being healthy. Find what works for you! AMERICA NEEDS to move and find a healthier life style. WE need to put health on our priority list! Get rid of the excuses and start small. Clean out your cupboard and fridges and replace them with healthier foods. If you are unsatisfied with your health. Or you wonder why you feel yucky all the time. Try taking out whole wheat, dairy and sugar and see what happens.

Read Wheat Belly by William Davis and get knowledgeable or do research yourself to see if taking wheat out is right for you. Same with diary. When I did whole 30 I learned for myself that wheat and diary destroy my body!

These are just some quotes I found from the book that pretty much hit home for me. Any time I ingest wheat I feel bloated and just down right gross. Not worth it for me!

Dr. Mark Hyman has an article that is a must read.  He shares some interesting points about what the USDA is recommending. The one that I really like is how the USDA says “Don’t eat unsafe foods”. Well, of course you don’t want to let your egg salad sit out forever as Dr. Hyman states. But, what about the processed foods that have loads of pesticides, hormones etc. Those aren’t safe so why is that not a part of the food pyramid?!?! Dr. Hyman goes on to the truth about diary “Calcium isn’t a bone protector like we thought”. Vitamin D appears to be much more important than calcium in reducing fractured bones. Calcium doesn’t reduce the risk of osteoporosis either. He concludes with a list of facts that may just make you change your mind about diary. Allergies, heart disease, irritable bowel syndrome just to name a few. The one point that he makes that I am a firm believer in is this, try it for yourself. You are the only person that knows your body. If you have any symptoms that he mentions in his article, take out dairy for a few weeks and see how you feel. Please read Dairy:6 Reasons you should avoid it at all costs to learn more about diary. When I did whole 30 and eliminated diary for 30 days and reintroduced it back in, I would agree with Dr. Hyman. My pimples started coming back, allergies galore, and upset stomach. Not worth it to me either!

Sugar…but we all love sugar. Well, there is a reason why we all love it so much…because it is the most addicting drug on this planet that is not illegal. It contributes to all sorts of diseases such as type II diabetes, heart disease, liver disease and the list goes on. The hard part is that sugar is in almost every food you find on the shelf of the grocery store. However, the good news is that we don’t need the junk on the shelf all we need is the whole foods that our planet is giving us naturally.  It will take some preparing, but well worth it in the end.  I could go on and on about how bad sugar is for us. Read the article 10 Disturbing Reasons why sugar is bad for you to further learn more about what research says about sugar. You will read that sugar is considered “empty” calories. Which means sugar has absolutely no nutritional value what so ever! None, zero, zilch!!! Fruit is a good sugar…we like fruit:) Excess fructose ( our bodies do not produce it in any significant amount and we don’t need it) turns in to fat which stays in the liver and causes non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Having too much glucose (our bodies produce this) can be toxic to our bodies therefore that is where blindness from diabetes comes in to play. My favorite…it can cause massive dopamine in the brain! Again, I am a firm believer that there is plenty of research out there for anything any one wants to prove. That is why you need to do what is right for YOU! You are the only one that knows your body.  What are you going to lose if you take out wheat, diary and sugar? Maybe unnecessary weight, allergies, bloating, gas problems, diseases…What are you going to gain? EVERYTHING! YOUR LIFE BACK! Your choice my friends….your choice!!!
